September Newsletter

7th September 2020

Welcome to the September edition of the Vanquish Tech Newsletter. Many of you will be enjoying your summer break, whether still at home or away on holiday. We're hoping you stay safe and enjoy it.

With the lockdown easing, our office is slowly beginning to reopen with the team working both in the office and remotely. Despite our new normal at work, we are optimistic about the future – for us, customers and our partners. We can’t wait to share more about our news and plans.

Team Vanquish

Vanquish Tech become West Ham United Women's Back-of-Shorts Partner whilst CEO Simeon Taylor Joins the Women's Team as Vice President

Vanquish Tech is delighted to announce an extension to the partnership with West Ham United Women. The renewed partnership will see Vanquish Tech become the team’s new back-of-shorts partner, with the company logo featuring from this weekend’s 2020/21 Barclays FA Women’s Super League opening fixture away to Tottenham Hotspur.

Women’s Managing Director Jack Sullivan said: “I am delighted that Vanquish Tech have elected to extend their partnership with our team and expanded their relationship with us further by becoming our new back-of-shorts partner."

The giant remote-working experiment is soon to become a return-to-the-office exercise, and getting it right won't be a piece of cake. Here are a few tips to make the transition smoother. 1. Making the office safe and contact tracing As you make short-term plans for returning to the workplace, you should prioritise holistic community measures, consider adjustments to your physical space to keep people safe and use data to help you to decide who returns to the office and when. 2. Ramp up your digital hygiene Cleaning up the digital mess that weeks of remote working might have caused will be a top priority for IT teams when workers start coming back into the office. People have been downloading software, video games, and all sorts of stuff that you don't really know about. The same devices are going to be connecting directly into the company's corporate network, and making sure that laptops are clean and free of malware will be critical. Implement some processes for "digital sanitation" that will ensure a degree of hardware security, preserve multi-factor authentication and, if necessary, keep VPNs up and running. 3. Set up new rules for the office:

  • Regular hand-washing, providing hand sanitizer and personal protective equipment

  • Temperature checks could be implemented for visitors entering the building.

  • New technologies are fast developing to quickly screen the temperature of many people at a time via heat-detection cameras while connecting findings to a laptop or a tablet in real-time.

  • Social events will probably get a little bit less social, the number of staff attending team meetings should be limited, and in-person visits to the office will be restricted. After all, the past few months have demonstrated that Zoom or Teams make for viable alternatives to real-life conversations.

4. Only bring back the staff you need

IT workers will be expected to be back sooner rather than later to get the workplace ready, set up desks and sanitize equipment. It might be worth thinking about building a sanitation area outside of the office to make sure that every device gets a proper clean before coming in.

Vanquish can provide a number of digital solutions, both for your office and remote work. If interested in any of these get in touch with the sales team:
